PowerRIP SilkScreen for PC and PowerRIP ImageSet for PC run on Windows XP,  2000, 2003, Vista or Vista x64.  PowerRIP's PC version supports network printing from any version of Mac OS X or OS9 Mac application as well as 32 and 64-bit Windows. PowerRIP PC also creates contone TIFFs and PDF files.

PowerRIP X SilkScreen is for Mac OSX users. It can function on a stand alone Mac or as a server RIP for a workgroup of up to 100 Macs

PC Version 7.3.0 includes more media support for Windows Vista and Vista x64. Also, direct support for the Epson Stylus Pro 4880, 7880, 9880, Photo 1410, 1390 and 2100.  This version includes a new template-based imposition and step-and-repeat feature.

Mac version 7.39 now added for PowerRIP X SilkScreen and PowerRIP X ImageSet.

Page Previewing PC version only
With PowerRIP ImageSet/SilkScreen you can preview individual pages in both the output queue and the "processed jobs" queue. This can save a lot of time if a mistake is caught before expensive media is wasted.

Template-based Imposition (PC Only)
PowerRIP ImageSet and SilkSCreen now include accross-job, template-based imposition & step-and-repeat. A very powerful yet user-friendly approach to imposition. You can specify the orientation, etc. in the template design which takes only seconds to create. The incoming pages will then fill then fill the defined spaces. Perfect for film separations.

Template-based Step & Repeat (PC Only)
A perfect feature for those using PowerRIP for applications where multi-up functionality is a must. Our feature lets you do multi-up of different designs on the same page, too, simply apply the correct slot ID to the artwork and it will fill all slots with that ID on the template.

ICM/ICC Based colour management for Mac and PC
PowerRIP PC and Mac versions supports the use of ICC and ICMs for colour management. The user can select the colour space of the input CMYK and RGB as well as the output ICM if they desire. All media types included with PowerRIP ImageSet/SilkScreen PC and Mac have been pre-linearized and the manual selection of an output profile is seldom needed. If the user has created a custom output profile, however, PowerRIP uses it per your request. You can select the ICC/ICMs at print-time or right at the RIP control panel when manually inserting PostScript or PDF files or re-processing previous jobs. A utility is included in the software which allows you to add ICM name entries into your PPD so that they appear at print-time in the print configuration dialog.

Page Nesting (Imposition) PC version only
To make more efficient use of your media, PowerRIP ImageSet allows you to gang-up the pages of a job to fit "n-up" on the output media. You can also specify a reduction ratio for your pages, which allows for "proof-sheet" like output. Simply select the destination media size and the page reduction ratio and PowerRIP will auto-orient the pages and fit them on the output media.

Print Composite Proofs From Pre-separated PostScript files on Mac or PC
PowerRIP  and PowerRIP X allow you to print composite pages from PostScript separation files. This feature is very useful, as you can use the composite output to check for trapping and moire, or simply use it as a proof to show the customer. If using halftone screening for output, you can select the angle and frequency for CMYK and spot colors.

PowerRIP ImageSet/SilkScreen (PC version only) has a preview utility allowing you to view each separation as well as the composite output. 

Print Separations from Composite PostScript or PDF files from Mac or PC
PowerRIP ImageSet allows you to print CMYK separations from a composite PostScript files or PDF files. If using halftone screening for output, you can specify the angle and frequency for the CMYK separations.

Halftone Screening for Mac and PC
PowerRIP ImageSet/SilkScreen allows the use of halftone screening, thus turning your inkjet printer into a low-cost imagesetter. You can specify the screen frequency/angle at print time or you can select from one of our pre-defined screen ruling sets. You can also define your own pre-defined screen rulings.

Density Calibration for Mac and PC
PowerRIP for PC and PowerRIP X for Mac  includes our Q-Curve™ utility which will allow you to apply a density curve to your composite or separated job. You can curve the color plates individually or apply the same curve to all. You can use the graphical curve interface or enter the desired density numbers.
